The racing season takes place essentially during
the winter period. During the season there are 30 pari-mutual
meetings from December to the end of February, 5 of which are
dedicated to flat track races. In all 154 hurdle races and 55
flat races are run at this racecourse during winter. In addition, Ever concerned with improving the comfort and reception facilities of the hippodrome for professionals and public alike, the Pau racing society is currently hard at work with the town authorities planning a complete renovation of the grandstand. Laredo Beach is situated between Santander and Bilbao.
Here Luis works with Alfonso Percus to pre-train and rehabilitate
horses with injury, for example tendon injury or post surgical recuperation.
Swimming is also excellent for maintaining fitness in horses requiring
a break from routine training.
