Luis Alberto Urbano was born in Madrid, Spain on 27th September 1972.

He began training from Pau in late 2003 after many years of both riding and getting training experience in Europe and America.

Both Luis Alberto and his father Luis were champion European amateur riders and both won Moet and Chandon's at Epsom, theAmateur Derby.

Luis Alberto rode 103 winners and was World Flat Champion in1995 and 1996. His father was seven times amateur champion.

Luis spent time in England with Luca Cumani, in America with Patrick Biancone and James Cassidy, in France with Francois Rohaut and Emmanuel Chevalier de Fau. While in California he assisted the vets responsible for Bobby Frankel's stable.

He began training in Pau in 2004 and has had 19 winners from 23 horses. He has 40 horses for the 2007 season.

Luis speaks Spanish, English and French.
He has a degree in business administration from the Southern Mississippi University, Madrid. Luis is assisted by his wife, Patricia and they have a young son, Luis, born on April 15th 2004,and a daughter, Veronica, who was born on April 10th 2006.
